CONSERVATION is about preserving the life of the artwork. You want
your art to last and look its best. Proper conservation techniques comprise
of:
Conservation Glass: filters out harmful U.V. rays and preserves the original colours of your artwork. Acid Free Mats: protects artwork from any acidic substances which can permeate and ruin the artwork. Acid Free Backing: protects artwork from behind so that it is encased in an acid free environment. Proper Hanging Devices: we get many requests to repair broken frames due to wire breaks or screw eyes giving way. At Frames by Rockwell we start with proper hanging devices. RECONDITIONING: Many original pieces of art were framed before, and even after, the benefits of conservation quality framing were realized. If you have any pieces of original artwork that could benefit from reconditioning bring them in and Norman will assess them for you. |
